Transnational Project Meeting - Viscri, Romania | Poiesis Project

This past May, we gathered in Viscri together with our partners from Italy and Romania to continue building the artistic and social vision that underpins Poiesis.

During the meeting:
— We made progress on Poiesis’ methodology.
— We discussed the upcoming facilitator’s handbook and the online training course.
— We reviewed key aspects of the pilot workshops, which will begin soon!
— We met with artist-facilitators to explore the various artistic practices that will be used in the workshops. In Romania, we had the chance to learn about the work of Irina Motroc @irina_motroc , who will facilitate workshops alongside Tavi Anghelus @tavi_anghelus for Alba Eglesia.

The TPM was also attended by artists and members of Creative Art Farm Italy, @giampieroabate and @bianca_maria_scrugli . In IRARU, the implementation of the workshops will be led by @lindacha__ and @ana_castrov
— We shared knowledge around art, community, and logistics.

This project focuses on inclusion and emotional well-being of young people with fewer opportunities, and is developed through the lens of expressive arts. Without a doubt, the cultural framework of Poiesis was enriched by the local experience in Viscri (a UNESCO World Heritage village with a strong Roma community presence), the visit to its fortified church, the rich Saxon architectural heritage, the beautiful city of Sighișoara, and the delicious traditional flavors.

In September, we will begin the pilot workshops — stay tuned!

💙 Thanks to our hosts @albaeglesia and our Italian partner @creativeartfarmeu for the time, trust, and shared inspiration.
